Pool insurance OK’d
A bill to prevent insurance companies from cancelling liability insurance for commercial vanpools without good reason passed the House Committee on Corporations, Insurance and Banking on Tuesday.
The legislation, introduced by Sen. Charles L. Waddell (D-Loudoun/F^irfax), would allow companies to cancel the insurance only if the vanpool operator failed to pay the premium or became a greater insurance risk. The vote was 19-1.
