“First in War, First in Peace and First in the Hearts of His Countrymen” summarized Mrs. William J. Nenner’s talk on President George Washington which she presented to the members of the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution at the February meeting.
Mrs. Nenner briefly brought out facts concerning the early life of Washington and of his many activities and contributions inserting humorous anecdotes. A notation brought out was that Washington is known as the Father of National Defense.
