Betty Kay Kilby has been
named 4-H girl of the year in Rappahannock. Betty is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kilby and a member of the Sperryville Senior 4-H Club. Betty has completed 10 projects' in her six years of being in the 4-H Club. Her accomplishments and plans for the future are the reasons for Betty being named 4-H’er of the year.
In celebration of his birthday, Bruce Critzer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Critzer, appeared on the Bozo television show Wednesday along with his brother Stevie, Wade Wallihan Massie, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Massie III, and Billy Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne.
Senator George S. Aldhizer II presented a trophy to Miss Diane Bruce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruce of Sperryville, after she won the Mason Mountain Race at the Point-to-Point Races Saturday. Miss Bruce was riding Trixie, owned by Jack Blankenbaker.
