“As a practical matter, this operation will be non-profit, but we will be charging money,” Mrs. Chapman explained.
“We don’t intend to get a return on our investment, just cover our operating costs,” added Mr. Chapman, noting that he and his wife have outside incomes. “And when we grow too old to operate the retreat center any longer, we’ll transfer ownership to church groups who will run it in the same manner.”
