William Johnson
William Bryan Johnson, 88, of Woodville, died April 15 at the Culpeper Health Care Center.
A native of Culpeper County and a longtime resident of Woodville, Mr. Johnson was a retired heating engineer with Union Oil Company. He was a member and past president of the Rappahannock Lions Club and a member of the Disabled American Veterans, having served during World War I.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Elizabeth Sharp Johnson, two sons, Bryan Johnson of Woodville and William G. Johnson of Page, Arizona, a daughter, Leslie Dianne Johnson of Las Vegas, Nev., and a stepson, Jack Bowdle of Gainesville, Fla.
He also leaves two brothers, Clarence B. Johnson and Raymond M. Johnson, both of Woodville, a foster brother, Donald Highlander of Culpeper, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted April 18 at Woodville Baptist Church by Rev. Ernest Cornwell. Interment was at Woodville Cemetery.
