Car trouble delayed his arrival. He was in some mental distress. Anne agreed to include him in the lunch order. After a search for a source of food, Anne returned with buns filled with shaved beef, orders of French fries and cokes.
Other less fortunate bystanders with deep curiosity watched us eat. One asked if she could sit in one of our chairs. When she arrived with lunch, Anne was surprised to find us almost in the same spot she had left us 45 minutes before.
