Fire Department to hold auction The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department will hold an auction on Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m. at the fire hall. All donations will be greatly appreciated. Mr. Rappahannock beauty pageant The National Honor Society of Rappahannock County High School is sponsoring a Mr. Rappahannock beauty pageant today, Thursday, April 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the high school. Contestants will be judged on general appearance, creativity and talent. Business Council to meet The Washington Business Council will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, May 1, at 6:15 p.m. at Brambles Cafe. ‘The Journey Of Natty Gann’ The Journey of Natty Gann will be playing at the Gay Street Theatre on April 26 and 27. The film stars Meredith Salenger, Ray Wise and John Cusack. It’s a new adventure from the Disney people about a father and daughter in the 1930s who have been separated by hard times. Salenger is a resourceful tomboy who makes her way West in search of her father. A good yarn for all ages. The movie is rated PG.

4-H tack sale planned Post and Rail 4-H Horse and Pony Club will sponsor a tack sale, (consignments and donations) on Sunday, May 4, at 1 p.m. at the Fauquier Livestock Exchange near Marshall.
