School budget hearing Monday
The proposed $3 million school budget for 1986-87 will be scrutinized by the supervisors at a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 28, at Rappahannock Elementary School.
Up 12 percent from educational expenditures for the current year, the proposed budget calls for $1,492,255 as the local share of operational funds.
Superintendent Robert Estabrook’s original budget totalled $3,096,423. The school board lopped off $41,775 after the supervisors announced they would cut projected expenditures by category this year.
