A Rappahannock County Circuit Court jury late Friday found Ethel B. Larimer, 38, Rt. 1, Box 615, Amissville, not guilty of being an accessory before the fact in the breaking and entering and grand larceny at Mr. and Mrs. Charles Compton’s house on Rt. 645 in Amissville last February 28.
During the trial, heard by Circuit Court Judge Carleton Penn, the Commonwealth alleged that Mrs. Larimer had participated in the planning of and had prior knowledge of the break-in. According to evidence presented by Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter H. Luke, Mrs. Larimer assisted her son Charles, her daughter Susan, and their friends John Richard Eastham and Thomas Henry Grohs with planning the burglary at the Compton home.
