things. The Virginia Telephone & Telegraph Company owned it and housed local equipment in it until they constructed a new exchange building last year. The company gave the Historical Society the old building and a lot on which to put it. The structure was moved 13 feet to the new lot.

Tim Kilby of Sperryville has

been appointed one of the official photographers by the Space Agency for the Apollo 15 Moon Shot which will be launched from Cape Kennedy, Fla., Monday, July 26. Tim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Kilby of Sperryville.

Mrs. Leonard Barron of Viewtown, Miss Elsie Dodson and Mrs. Louis Moore, both of Flint Hill, have completed a course on Tests and Measurements given at Warren County High School. The three women are teachers at Rappahannock County Elementary School.

10YEARSAGO RAPPAHANNOCK NEWS From the July 22, 1976, edition

Citizens of Sperryville will

be given an opportunity to state their views on what type of sewage system they prefer at a public hearing scheduled for 8 p.m. on July 30 at the Sperryville fire hall.

Completing the fiscal year, the Rappahannock County School System remained on solid ground, according to O. A. Norton, Superintendent, at the July 13 meeting of the group. Budget items had been cut tb keep in line with the available funds allowed by the state. Basic school funds had been trimmed by the state last fall.
