Commonwealth’s Attorney Luke presented three witnesses who offered rebuttal testimony alleging that Mrs. Larimer was present in the Larimer house when marijuana was smoked by the youngsters. Richie Eastham, his sister Edie, and Tommy Grohs all testified that Mrs. Larimer was present when her daughter Susan smoked marijuana. Miss Eastham said that “it was more than one time—she was open enough to smoke in front of adults.”
On cross-examination, pressed by Mr. Payne to name a specific instance when Mrs. Larimer was present, Richie Eastham replied testily, “I don’t know a date.” Tommy Grohs insisted on cross-examination, “I
