Billy Joe Dodson celebrated his seventh birthday with a cookout at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dodson. About 50 guests attended.

Cathy Ann Atkins of Flint Hill has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Longwood College in Farmville.
To be named to the Dean’s List at Longwood, a student must achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 basis.
Miss Atkins is an upcoming senior majoring in business. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Atkins, Jr., of Flint Hill.
