runt tiill Carnival July oU-August 1 The Flint Hill Firemen’s Carnival will be held at the carnival grounds next to the firehouse Wednesday, July 30, through Saturday, August 2. Opening night any and all rides may be ridden from 6:30 to 10 p.m. for one low price. Grand parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, and there will be rides, games, food and fun for all throughout the week. Settle reunion The sixth annual Settle family reunion will be held Sunday, July 27, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Park, near Washington. Family and friends are invited to attend, bringing a covered dish.
Bible school at Sperryville The Sperryville United Methodist Church Sunday School will have Bible School August 4 through 8 from 10 a.m. to noon. All children in the area are welcome.
Revival at Woodville Revival services at Woodville Baptist Church will begin Sunday, August 3, at 11 a.m. and continue through Wednesday, August 6, with evening services at 7:30. Dr. F. Lawson Pankey will be the guest speaker. Draft horse and mule show Plowing, log skidding, and obstacle driving are just some of the events which are featured at the Blue Ridge Draft Horse and Mule Show held on July 26 at Ferrum College in Ferrum, VA. More than 100 competitors will take part in the scheduled events which begin at 10 a.m. and run through 5 p.m. Also featured are craft demonstrations and sales, traditional music, and a buggy, cart, and wagon parade.
Bloodmobile at Culpeper The Red Cross bloodmobile will visit Culpeper Memorial Hospital on Thursday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Blood collections in this area are below the needs of the community.
