George Norris, Sr.
George Fletcher Norris, Sr., 60, of Culpeper, died July 19 in Culpeper County.
A native of Slate Mills, Mr. Norris was a distributor for the Washington Post for 21 years.
He is survived by his wife Agnes May Norris of Culpeper, two sons, George Fletcher Norris, Jr., and Ronald Lee Norris, both of Culpeper, and a daughter Tina Norris Jenkins of Culpeper.
He also leaves a sister Anna Ruth Gordon of Indianapolis, Ind., four brothers, Robert C. Norris, Jr., of Culpeper, John R. Norris of Goldvein, Walter “W. K.” Norris of Maryland and Tilder Q. Norris of Indianapolis, and two grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted July 22 at Fairview Cemetery by the Rev. Steve Combs.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Culpeper County Rescue Squad.
