Trapezoid plays
The Bluemont Concert Series will present Trapezoid in concert Saturday, July 26, at 7:30 p.m. on the lawn of the Warren Green Hotel in downtown Warrenton. Requested donation is $1 per person.
Trapezoid has become famous for their high level of musicianship and exciting performances over the years. The concert will present a fine blend of vocal and instrumental music. The group performs music from America and the British Isles from such traditions as ragtime, swing, jazz, ballads and folk songs, oldtime string band music, Irish fiddle tunes and some original compositions.
The members of Trapezoid are Paul Reisler on guitar and hammered dulcimer, Lorraine Duisit on mandolin, bowed psaltery and vocals, Rallph Gordon on bass and cello and Freyda Epstein on fiddle and vocals. Trapezoid has performed at Wolf Trap, the Smithsonian, and Bluemont, has appeared on national TV and radio including A Prarie Home Companion, and has recorded five of their own albums.
The lawn of the historic Warren Green Hotel is a beautiful setting for a concert. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs and picnic if they like. Folding chairs will be available for senior citizens and homemade refreshments will be on sale at intermission.
