The Town of Washington’s Colonial Christmas celebration this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7, will showcase the “rich tradition and quaint charm of the First Washington of them all,” according to the Washington Business Council, which is sponsoring the event.

From candlelight tours, dancing of the minuet as well as the peasant dances of the colonial period, traditional dishes served at several local restaurants, craftsmen demonstrating a variety of crafts techinques, both colonial and modem, and carollers in traditional costume, the activities planned for the two-day celebration offer “something for everyone.”
