Reorganization of Rappahannock

Unit of Cancer Society A reorganization meeting of the Rappahannock Unit, Virginia Division cf the American Cancer Society, will be held Dec. 10 in the Sunday School rooms of the Washington Baptist Church. “Cancer touches the lives of our families and close friends. Won’t you help our Rappahannock Unit carry on the work in serving the people of our county?” said a spokesperson. Everyone is welcome.

Christmas greens sale The Rappahannock County Garden Club is now sponsoring their annual greens sale. Members will make wreaths, which sell for $12, garlands at $1.50 per foot and swags for $10. Orders are now being taken and can be placed by calling 987-8943, 987-8248, 675-3744, 675-3774 or 987-8645. The deadline for placing orders is Sunday, Dec. 7. ARB to meet The Architectural Review Board will meet Thursday, Dec. 18, at 8 p.m. in the courthouse. Interested persons are urged to attend.

Citrus fruit to arrive Dec. 10 The citrus fruit sold by the Rappahannock County High School Music Booster Club will arrive Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Rappahannock Farmers Co-op. Customers are reminded to bring their receipts with them. Fruit may be picked up at the Co-op between 3:30 Wednesday afternoon and 3:30 Friday afternoon. RCES concert The Rappahannock County Elementary School concert will be held at the auditorium on Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Included are the elementary band, chorus and grades one through four. Everyone is invited to attend.
