Out of the Attic
MELINDA WILSON BALDWIN, bom May 12, 1794, and Allen Baldwin (whose second wife she was) were both Rappahannock County natives. They were married in 1831 by Balaby Shaw. In 1835, after selling their property, they moved to Putnam County (now West Virginia). Mr. Baldwin died in 1861. Mrs Baldwin died in Charleston, W. Va., April 9, 1901, just before her 107th birthday. This photograph was taken by the West Virginia ^ Historical Society about two weeks before her death.
