Mr. 0. A. Norton, Superintendent
of Schools, and Mr. Maurice O’Bannon, member of the Rappahannock School Board, recommended to the Supervisors of Rappahannock County at their regular December meeting that Rappahannock County contribute $5,000 toward the establishment of a Junior Regional College near Madison. The college will be an extension of the University of Virginia and the initial capital outlay is estimated at $40,000, to be financed by the following counties: Rappahannock, $5,000; Culpeper, $10,000; Madison, $10,000; Orange, $10,000, and Greene, $5,000. This matter was tabled by the Board until its January meeting.
