Thomas Williams
Thomas Virgil Williams, 75 of Flint Hill died Monday, December 2 at Oak Springs Nursing Home in Warrenton.
A son of the late Virgil C. and Agnes Cannon Williams of Castleton, he was bom in Rappahannock County. Mr. Williams was a farmer and orchardist. He also served as director of the Rappahannock National Bank for 30 years and was president at the onset of his illness.
He was past director of Culpeper Farmers Cooperative and director and vice president of the Rappahannock Home Mutual Insurance Company. He was a past member of the Rappahannock County Welfare Board and served on the Real Estate Assessment Board and Equalization Board.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hudson Williams; three sons, Thomas V. Williams, Jr., George Edward Williams and Michael Anthony Williams, all of Flint Hill; two brothers, Glenn L. Williams of Alexandria and George S. Williams of the Phillipines and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, December 5 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery at Culpeper by the Rev. Steve Scoggin.
Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
Marietta Nifenecker
Marietta Turbyfill Nifenecker, 75, of Slate Mills, died Nov. 25 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Nifenecker was a native and lifetime resident of Culpeper County.
She is survived by one brother, Edwin Turbyfill of Long Island, N. Y.
A grayeside service was conducted Nov. 28 at Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, by the Rev. Harold Eaton.
