and Crafts, in the basement of Clopton House, will feature furniture restoration expert Jim Thomasson discussing the relative merits of restoration versus refinishing antique furniture on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday afternoon, from 1 until 3, there will be a demonstration of traditional spinning techniques.
Upstairs at Clopton House, Eileen Day Realtors is having an open house both days. “Ye Olde Land Office’’ will be serving hot mulled cider, as well as offering some “tricks of the trade.”
Nationally-known lighting restoration specialist Charlie Eldred, proprietor of Washington House, on Main Street across from the Post Office, will be in his shop both Saturday and Sunday to discuss his exhibit of antique and reproduction lighting fixtures.
