Rappahannock County High School students scored high in the first test of the Virginia Mathematics League Contest. Rappahannock placed eight out of 118 participating 1 secondary schools. The only schools to score higher than Rappahannock were seven schools in Fairfax County.
Principal Bob Chappell was very proud of the outcome. “This helps to prove what I’ve suspected all along - there are a lot of intellectual students here. The results also indicate a strong teaching staff,” he said. Mr. Chappell encourages the school’s participation in every academic competition available.
