“We still want dump sites,” Mike Massie, chairman of the Landfill Site Selection Committee, announced this week.
Since the committee began soliciting potential landfill sites last month, “we’ve had three responses, and we’re checking those out right now for suitability,” Mr. Massie reported. “In addition, we’re contacting real estate agents and going over all their county listings, looking for property which might be suitable.”
