Highway Equipment Operator A The Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation has 2 opening (s) for Highway Equipment Operator A at the Marshall Area Headquarters. DUTIES: Operate trucks, tractors and rollers, perform manual labor, repairing bridges, patching operations and other handiwork. QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator s or Chauffeur's License and the ability to pass a performance test on selected equipment specified in the class. A working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of light-duty, power-driven, highway equipment; a working knowledge of the State Laws and Agency Regulations governing the operation of equipment on the highways; ability to make routine reports on hours worked or materials used. Selected applicants rrtust successfully complete prescribed physical examination by a qualified physician. SALARY: $11,735 - $16,021 (Grade 4)
