Skeens presented an operational and fiscal summary for 1970-71, which he stated exceeded the budget by about $6,000. The budget of $116,000 was exceeded due to approaches to the new bridge on Route 620. However, the deficit will be absorbed by this year’s budget.

Zoning Appeals will issue a ruling Thursday on the special use permit application from Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Updike to operate a privately owned landfill within an agricultural zone. The Updikes’ Community Trash Service was the low bidder on the county’s trash disposal and won a three-year contract awarded by the Supervisors in August.
