Mary Williams
Mary Virginia (Virgie) Williams, 97, of Emporia, formerly of Washington, died Dec. 5 in Emporia.
A native of Rappahannock County, she had lived in Emporia for seven years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Washington and a homemaker.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Edward B. Webb Sr. and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted Dec. 9 at First Baptist Church, Washington, by Rev. Wendell Grant of Marshall. Interment was at the family section of Mt. Salem Cemetery, on Route 626, Washington.
Active pallbearers were nephews and Mends.
Henry Reager
Henry Wilhoit Reager, 77, died Dec. 4 at his home at Huntly.
Mr. Reager was bom Dec. 24, 1908, in Huntly, the son of the late Charles Clement and Ora Mae Kines Reager. He was a member of the Chester Gap Baptist Mission.
His wife Edith Reager predeceased him. Surviving are two sons, Addison T. Reager of Southlin, Ore., and Henry W. Reager of Fremont, Calif., and four grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted Dec. 8 at Chester Gap Baptist Mission by Rev. James Burke and Rev. William Alford. Burial was in Willis Chapel Cemetery, Huntly.
