Our music room is not really a “music room.” It’s simply Modular Unit 3, the most convenient place for the chorus and band, who also share it with a health class.
While on the subject of the health class, there is not a Health, Driver’s Education, or First-Aid classroom. These courses are taught by the Physical Education teachers. Since there isn’t a permanent classroom, the teachers have to switch classrooms after every period. It’s not unusual to see one of these teachers fighting his or her way down the hall with a film projector or other necessary items for class instruction.
We have only one science lab; it’s used for chemistry, physics and one physical science class. The biology classes meet in one room that includes in its equipment ore sink. The earth science classes also meet in a regular classroom that has one sink.
Unfortunately, the earth science room is also the art room, which means that the art supplies are stored in the same room as the science supplies.
These are only a few examples of our substandard facilities. Fortunately, we have a faculty that cares enough about us to spend extra time and provide us with as much intellectual background as is available.
