Charles Platt
Charles Morris Platt, 71, died Dec. 8 at his residence at Woodville. Mr. Platt was a native of St. Joseph, Mo., son of Emory Nelzar and Chloe Morris Platt.
A retired financial editor of U.S. News and World Report, he had lived in Rappahannock County for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Helen King Platt of Woodville, two sons, Anthony Carter Platt of Cambridge, Mass., and Andrew Morris Platt of Woodville, and three grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held.

William Wood
William Henry Wood Jr., formerly of Rappahannock, died Dec. 7 at El Paso, Texas, where he had lived for the past three years.
