SPTA
meets
at RCES

SPTA Student Representative
The SPTA meeting was held Dec. 2 at Rappahannock County Elementary School, with Mrs. Andreoni presiding. Twenty-five members were present. The minutes and treasury report were read and accepted.
A slide show on RCES was presented by Mrs. Aney Massie. The SPTA voted to show this presentation at the first meeting of the group at the beginning of school next fall.
Two Christmas stockings, three feet long, will be given away Dec. 18 at RCES A sock hop is scheduled for Jan. 16 with the 23rd set as a rain date.

The baseball overhang, a telephone tree for school emergency notification, and the Christmas Tree Farm’s donation to the SPTA when a Christmas tree is purchased from the O’Meara Farm in Sperryville.
Bill Littles shared his experience as a member of the state and national PTA. He provided lots of information and offered his assistance when needed to the SPTA. Mrs. Camille Harris discussed the petition for the high school building project which is to be presented to the Board of Supervisors at a public hearing Dec. 18. After this discussion the meeting was closed.
