Rappahannock County High School was the setting for a newspaper contest between the Culpeper Junior High School remedial reading class and the RCHS remedial reading class.
Culpeper’s teacher, Ms. McCay, and Rappahannock’s teacher, Mrs. Deb Mills, prepared questions about information in the current issue of the Culpeper Star Exponen t.
In the first part of the contest questions were given to each team. They were given time to find the answer in the paper, give the answer and where they found it.
The second part of the contest was a grab bag section where the team to find the answer first was recognized and given the opportunity to answer.
The final score was Rappahannock 20 and Culpeper 13.
