The School Board members tied reductions in insurance, workers compensation, telephone service and transportation to the current level of expenditure in the same categories. They agreed to seek assistance from the highway department for the road work at RCES and projected that repairs to the heating systems at both schools will bring a reduction in fuel costs. *unanimous vote, they proposed pay raises for teachers which will range from 9.7 percent at the bottom of the scale to 16.65 percent for 25 years experience, incorporating last year’s bonuses into the index itself at pay steps 15-25 and providing a $300 “relocation allowance” to defray moving expenses for teachers new to the county.
