Reservations may be made up to 51 weeks in advance. Sites not reserved by 3 p.m. Friday of the preceding week may be rented in person for a minimum of two days. Seasonal activities in Virginia’s State Parks, such as swimming, boating, visitors centers and interpretive tours usually open on Memorial Day and run through the Labor Day weekend. These facilities may open earlier in May, depending on weather and attendance. The schedule will be announced later in the spring.
