Eastham wins
steer contest
D. M. (Chink) Eastham, of Flint Hill, was announced recently as the winner of the 1986 Steer Raffle for Research. The contest was sponsored by the Young Farmer Committee of the Virginia Farm Bureau.
Mr. Eastham was awarded a check for $557.22, the value of the 1,110-pound steer at market, by Jeff Jennings, representing the Young Farmer Committee. Also attending the presentation were Marge Eastham and Dabney H. Eastham.
