Students will be selling one dollar chances for a prize of $300 to kick off the fair. The three highest salesmen will receive cash awards.
Parents are needed to supervise games, bake cakes and lend a helping hand. More details will be discussed at April’s meeting.
A nominating committee was appointed by President Andreoni. April Heddleston, Pud Maeyer and Chris Foreman will nominate willing persons for each office and a vote will be taken at the next meeting.
Judy Tole made a motion to donate $1000 for a bus communication system. Most of the money for the system will come from the elementary school’s school fund. The base station which will be at the school board bus shop is the most expensive item to be purchased. The motion was carried.
The association decided to elect different people to attend National PTA conferences. There are two per year (district and state). On March 28 there is a meeting in Harrisonburg. This Shenandoah District annual meeting will be an overview of district affairs.
The meeting concluded with approval and selection of by-laws requested by the National PTA.
The April 7 meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will focus on the Spring Fun Fair.
