Airman Apprentice William R. Deal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester W. Deal of Sperryville, has returned from an eightmonth deployment to the Western Pacific. He is a member of Attack Squadron (VA)-27, homebased at the Naval Air Station, Lemoore, Cal. His Squadron was embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, as a unit of the U.S. Seventh Fleet.
The March meeting of the Rappahannock Woman’s Club will be held at the Holiday Inn, Culpeper, on Tuesday, March 29 at 7 p.m. for the purpose of installing new officers.

Robert Estabrook Tuesday night, the proposed $2,449,412 school budget for 1982-83 is 7.7 percent over the current year’s total and calls for a 3.6 percent hike in county funds over what was requested for 1981-82. A substantial portion of the proposed increase in school spending will be balanced by adding state revenues. According to the latest figures Estabrook has received from Richmond, Rappahannock can expect $103,352 more in state aid, a jump of 15.4 percent. Combined with sales and wine tax money and federal funds, the total for other funds, anticipated for 1982-83 is $1,158,910, a 12 percent increase. 1
