PACE Time

To the editor:

Although House Bill 1302, the Pharmaceutical Assistance Program for the Elderly, or PACE Program, failed to pass the 1987 session of the General Assembly, Delegate J. W. “Billy” O’Brien Jr. will strive to make the public aware of the increasing need for this program.

In addition to medication, this program also offers a prescription drug education program which would inform elderly citizens of the hazards of prescription faugs, encourage the elderly to question physicians and pharmacists concerning the effects of taking prescription drugs.
