Teacher pay raises will be balanced in part by $49,000 in “transitional” aide from the state. That money is forthcoming only if the county affords its teachers salary increases of at least 10 percent.
The board deferred action on administrative pay and compensation for classified personnel until next Tuesday’s work session when the budget is scheduled to be adopted and forwarded to the supervisors.
