A St. Patrick’s Day SPTA Sock Hop was held Friday, March 13. Many little and big leprecauns had a great time. They are all looking forward to the next Sock Hop scheduled for May.
The SPTA noted its appreciation to parent Linda Mallory for her leadership in preparing the teacher’s dinner at the February parent teacher conference.
Mrs. Mallory made a motion that the next SPTA movie be shown at the school on Friday, April 3. The choice of the movie will be decided on at a later date.
The phone tree has been completed. Parents who expressed interest in being informed of unexpected early dismissals will receive the tree soon.
There will be one more major work day on the playground in April. Both the ’ower grade playground and the upper grade fitness course need finishing touches.
The Spring Fun Fair is scheduled for May 2 (rain or shine) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities will be held in the halls, gym and outside. Committee chairman Mary Jane Swift said there will be games with prizes, cake walks, bake Bales, entertainment and many other fun things.
