A “Medical History Survey” form will be sent home from school for each student prior to the date of the testing in order that a parent or guardian may sign and return the form to the school before this sight and hearing screening is performed. It is important that the form be signed and returned to the school immediately.
Students who wear glasses must have their glasses with them on the van for the vision test.
The Sight and Hearing Mobile Screening Unit is one of the many projects supported by the Rappahannock Lions Club. The first commitment of Lions is to fulfill the needs of the local community. This project, involving several hundred Rappahannock County school students and adults, is one example of helping our community.
These projects are possible, a Lions Club spokesman said, thanks to the generosity of those who support the Rappahannock Lions Club in their fund-raising activities.

Alexander Sharp, of Washington, was named to the board of directors of the Virginia State Horticultural Society at its annual meeting.
