Lee Henderson
H. Lee Henderson, 43, of Front Royal, died March 17, at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal
Mr. Henderson was born Jan. 3, 1944, in Staunton, the son of Ruth Mason Henderson of Staunton and the late Lynwood Clifton Henderson. He was a Virginia State Trooper for 14 years. He was a member and elder of the Buckton Presbyterian Church. He was married to the late Linda Vivian Henderson.
Mr. Henderson was a scout master of Boy Scout Troop 62 since 1976 and was committee chairman for Cub Scout Pack 81 of Buckton. He was a member of the Virginia State Police Association and the Warren County Chapter of the Izak Walton League of America.
Surviving with his mother are one son, Michael Lee Henderson, at home; one daughter, Mary JuUne Henderson, at home; and two brothers, L. Chesley Henderson of Staunton and Jimmy L. Henderson of Christiansburg.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. March 20 at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home, Front Royal, with the Rev. John Kinzie, the Rev. Bruce Stevens and the Rev. Robert Goshorn officiating. A graveside service with a flag presentation by the Virginia State Police will be held at 3p.m. March 20 at Greenhill Cemetery, Churchville.
Pallbearers will be Ashby Crowder, Jim Wingate, Ronkeith Kirtley, Roy Rumsey Sr., Gilbert Schneider and Dr. John D. Landis.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Boy Scout Troop 52 of Front Royal, the Virginia State Police, the Warren County Sheriffs Department and the Front Royal Police Department.
The family will receive Mends from 7 to 8 p.m. March 19 at the fbneral home.
