Wine tasting at the Gallery
A special evening of wine tasting and music is planned for Saturday, June 27, from 7 until 10 at Middle Street Gallery. For the admission price of $13 per person ($15 after June 22), those attending will receive a taste of three different wines from each Virginia winery participating - Oasis Vineyard, Naked Mountain Vineyard and Locust Hill Vineyard. Lorraine Duisit of Trapezoid will be playing the harp. After the tasting, wine will be available for sale by the glass and by the bottle. Send check payable to Middle Street Gallery, P.O. Box 341, Washington, Va. 22747 to pre-register. Proceeds from the event will go to Middle Street Gallery, a non-profit artists’ cooperative.
Revival at Black Oak
Black Oak Regular Baptist Church on Rt. 729 will be having revival services the week of July 13-17.
Elder E. Wayne Thompson, pastor of Engleside Regular Baptist Church in Alexandria will be guest speaker. Plan now to attend the meeting throughout the week urged a church spokesperson.
Rappahannock Views
The conceptual photographs of Clyde Lee will be on view for two more weekends at Middle Street Gallery. The viewer will see the magic of Rappahannock through the eyes of an imaginative and experimental artist, with quotes from Eugene McCarthy’s The View from Rappahannock to underline the images. The cows, the fall colors, the winter icicles, the shadows and gardens of the foothills of the Blue Ridge are captured on the walls of the Gallery. Middle Street’s summer hours are Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
