Summer Fun Runs
set in Fauquier
Fauquier Country Parks and Recreation and the Fauquier Track Club are co-sponsoring a series of four fun runs during July and August. July fun run dates and locations are July 9 at Great Meadows (The Plains) and July 23 at Fauquier High School.
On each date a one-mile walk/run and a five kilometer (3.1 mile) run will be offered, beginning at 7 p.m. Cost is $1 per run.
Age groups for each 5K run will be 12 and under, 13-17,18-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50 and older for both men and women. Ribbons will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each age group. For the 5K runs trophies will be awarded for first, second, and third place for the lowest combined time for those runners participating in three of the four runs.
