Dr. N. A. Laing of
Amissville has accepted a position with the Loudoun Animal Hospital in Purcell ville as associate veterinarian with Dr. Kent Roberts. Dr. Laing has been employed with the Virginia Department of Agriculture with offices in Warrenton for the past year. He will assume duties with the hospital June 27 and in the fall, with his family, will move to Purcellville.

Rayner V. Snead Jr. received
his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Virginia at commencement exercises June 4. Mr. Snead will be associated with the law firm of Edmonds, Williams, Robertson, Sackett, Baldwin and Graves in Lynchburg. He is the son of Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead of Washington.
The Rappahannock County Citizens’ Association made an award this year to an outstanding teacher in the school system. Edward Gray, science instructor at Rappahannock County High School, was the recipient of the $300 presentation. He was judged to have contributed the most to education in Rappahannock and in the state.
Ralph W. Brown of Woodville has retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service. He is a Rappahannock native, the son of Mrs. Henry Brown and the late Mr. Brown and is married to the former Ann Corbett of Reading, England. They have a son Tim.
