Marine Sgt. Dave W. Hinkell, son of John W. and Beverly M. Hinkell of Amissville, recently received a Certificate of Commendation.
Sgt. Hinkell received the citation for exceptional performance of duty while serving as the Right Guide for
the Marine Fighter Attack Squadrion 251 Drill Platoon from Nov. 15 to Dec. 16,1986.
A 1982 graduate of Brentsville District High School, Nokesville, he joined the Marine Corps in August 1982.
