Tina Hackney Weaver, Hospice’s director, explained that its goal is "to keep the terminally ill patient at home while emphasizing the quality of life, not the quantity. In Rappahannock, Madison, Culpeper and Orange counties, volunteers assist the patient and family in supportive ways of home care and bereavement.”
There is no charge for the Hospice’s services. Hospice of the Rapidan is funded by memorials, contributions, donations and the Culpeper United Way.
Tickets to the benefit polo match and barbeque are $25 per person. They are available at the Hospice office at 126 S. Main St. in Culpeper, or by calling 825-4840. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
