Bake sale at Amissville Methodist
The United Methodist Women of Amissville United Methodist will sponsor a bake sale Saturday, Aug. 1 at the church, from 10 a.m. til 2 p.m. Homemade cakes, pies, cookies, breads, etc. will be available. Proceeds will go toward our church renovation program. The public is invited!
Color healing workshop
"The Ancient Art of Color Healing” workshop will be held at Middle St. Gallery on Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. Kathleen Maier, Certified Physician’s Assistant, will teach the class, which will include the subtle yet powerful influence color has on our health and emotions, and how that effect can be used to our benefit. The fee for the workshop is $10. Space is limited, reservations are suggested. Call 636-3078 for reservations or information.
Another Sperryville carnival
The Sperryville Fire Deparmtent has announced it will hold an encore presentation of its popular annual event, the fireman’s carnival. It will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 6, 7 and 8. There will be rides, food and entertainment for the entire family. On Saturday, several prizes will also be awarded.
Bihle School at Family Worship
Vacation Bible School will be held at Family Worship Center in Washington, August 3 through 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day for ages 3-12.
