Country food, arts, handcrafts, * entertainment, including square * dancing, and special exhibits, includ* ing antique autos, will all be part of ! the summer's third Country Market ; and Square Dance on historic Davis ‘ Street in downtown Culpeper, be* ginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, August j 1, Ralph and Barbara Dellevie have i announced. Davis Street will be closed to autos, except for the antique cars on exhibit, between Main and East Streets from 5 p.m. to the conclusion ■ of the festivities. New this time will be the antique auto exhibit. The oldest so far is a 1916 off-white Studebaker touring , car, owned by Tucker Tutwiler of , Culpeper. Mr. Tutwiler will also ■ show a 1929 blue limousine Studebaker. Paul Bates, also of Culpeper, will show his Model A Ford from 1929. Anyone who has an antique car and would like to show it during the Country Market is asked to call the Dellevies at 825-9432 or 825-9291, the event’s sponsors request. Supper choices on Saturday will include goat’s milk cheese, a salad of , homemade pasta and fresh vegeta* bles, and sprouted wheat bread as well as country ham biscuits and barbecue. Dessert choices will in' elude ice cdd watermelon, home*' made ice cream cones and sweet potato pie. Syria’s Stephen Sanford, who creates his “Hollerfolk” from apple tree roots, is among the artists expected to participate in the Country ' Market.
