Naturally I would like such an opportunity to present what I feel is the next step in the ongoing Judeo/Christian revelation - the understanding that God is everyone’s Trinity Family, a family composed of a divine Mother, Father and eldest Sibling (Jesus to us), a family in which every individual is a member by virtue of their personality, needing only to be spiritually reborn to begin to see and live it. And I certainly feel that this truth could find acceptance in seeking hearts and minds which are willing to learn.
Moreover, I think that kids would benefit tremendously if they could learn for themselves that there is the exact same expression of truth which fundamentalists preach, also to be found in so-called non-Christian religions. . .that the kingdom of heaven which Jesus preached, and presented as a bit of leaven or yeast, has found its way into many spiritual loaves, and is causing them to rise. I think they would benefit from the secular humanist and the atheist, seeing that they are often sincere people who want a chance to do good. The light of God ought to be more easily seen when viewed against the contrast of non-belief.
Such a free forum as this would be a wonderful thing in Rappahannock County and I’ll bet grown-ups would attend as well. It may well be just what this county needs to survive.
