Mrs. McCreary wants to keep on talking about her friends with her paint brush. “I want to do a whole series of my friends and relatives in our kitchen, because that’s where we hang out. That’s the center of everything.” She laughed, explaining that a portrait she’d done of herself and a friend had started out in the kitchen but then she’d changed the backdrop to the outdoors. “Probably none of them will end up in the kitchen, because you have to be willing to go where the painting takes you.”
