Surviving are two daughters, Diane Spampinato and Brenda McDonald, both of Manassas, two sons, Jerry Clark of Manassas and Charlie Clark Jr. of Warrenton, the children’s father Charles L. Clark, and three sisters, Hazel Bird of Bowie, Md., Louise Davis of Oxon Hill, Md., and Jerrell-Ann Huffman of Richlands, N.C.
A funeral service was conducted July 29 at the Baker Funeral Home in Manassas. Interment was at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Francis Graves
Francis Madison (Matt) Graves, 91, of Syria, died July 28 at his home.
Mr. Graves was bom Nov. 11, 1895, in Madison County. A retired farmer and orchardist, he was the only surviving brother of R. S. Graves Bros, apple-growers, of Syria. He was one of the origiiud directors of the Orange-Madison Farmers Cooperative.
Mr. Graves was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church of Madison.
He is survived by his wife Anne Fray Graves, three daughters, Lois Graves Reedy of Coral Gables, Fla., Patricia Graves Berry of Madison, and Edith Sevold of Maryville, Wash., two sons, Dr. Francis M. Graves Jr. and Irvin Fray Graves of Madison, a sister Allie Graves Watt of Washington, D. C., 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 30, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Preddy Funeral Home! in Orange.
